Our day program fosters independence, self-awareness, and the necessary skills to reside, integrate and participate in the community
Champion Services offers a state-of-the-art day program for adults with disabilities to receive the support necessary to actively participate in the community and realize their unique passions and skills. Our day program operates from 9 am to 4 pm Monday through Friday and is closed on major holidays.
Guiding Principles of Our Day Program:
The Torch Day Program follows guiding principles that serve as the compass for the development and operations of the day program for the individuals who attend. The Torch Day Program will:
Add value to the local community by exposure to and participation with individuals with disabilities by building community relationships and resources and volunteering and working in the community
Realize and foster each individual’s passions by exposing them to the many possibilities that life has to offer through community, cultural, recreation, job and hobby opportunities.
Stimulate and improve the individual’s intellectual abilities through activities that employ problem-solving and decision making
Encourage a healthy lifestyle through nutrition, exercise, personal hygiene, and appearance

The Torch Day Program proactively assists adults with disabilities to increase appropriate social behaviors and decrease maladaptive social behaviors to facilitate successful integration in the community and their homes through the consistent and persistent application of Positive Behavior Supports that include:
- Highly structured environment

Torch Calendar
Champion Services day program, the Torch, has a calendar that is updated monthly and is an overall view of outings and major events at the Torch. All activities and teaching modules are designed to meet individuals needs and interests. The individuals play an active role in deciding what we do at our day program.
